Certificate IV in Christian Ministry and Theology – Church Planting

The Certificate IV Church Planting course was developed by church planters for church planters and covers the skills and knowledge needed to plant churches using a variety of expressions in Australia. Students in this course may be on the pathway to becoming Church Planters with Queensland Baptists.

The Cert IV program is delivered via an online learning platform and has been designed so that learners can immediately put the skills and knowledge they’re learning into practice within a church plant context.

The full qualification will take 595 hours of structured/supervised study plus additional unsupervised hours to complete. Most learners study part-time over two years, but the course can also be studied full-time over 12 months.

Recognition of prior learning is available in part or full and will be assessed on prior training and experience. People are welcome to enrol in individual modules without completing the full qualification if there are specific areas of interest to them.

There are no entry requirements for this qualification. Learners will need a satisfactory grasp of English skills (reading, writing and speaking), which will be assessed at the time of applying for enrolment.
