Are you looking to qualify as a trainer and assessor in the Vocational and Educational Training sector?  If so you will need to hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122)

Recommended course for Trainers

This qualification is a requirement for people who are delivering training and assessment in the vocational education and training (VET) sector.

Our delivery of this qualification is primarily designed for those who will be training and assessing within Maylon Vocational Training and through other Christian based RTOs, however we welcome students who are looking to attain this qualification for the purposes of training and assessing for other organisations.

This is a “contextual” qualification and students should have current access to an RTO who is delivering a training program within the VET sector in order to apply the learnings and demonstrate the required competencies. This qualification is offered via distance mode and from time to time through workshops.  Recognition of prior learning is also available in part or full depending on prior training and experience.  We also offer bridging programs to upgrade people who hold a non-current TAA qualification such as TAE40116 or TAE40110.

Upgrade from TAE40110 or TAE40116 to the TAE40122 Cert IV in Training and Assessment

The Upgrade will be delivered and assessed in a number of ways, depending upon the units of competency the applicant holds.

The standard pathway for holders of TAE40116 or TAE40110 (+ units TAELLN411 and TAEASS502) will consist of RPL conducted via a competency conversation and submission of a portfolio of evidence and completing training and assessment for three new units.
